Late January brought 28 inches of snow to our woods in Rhode Island in just 24 hours. We spent hours clearing paths, carving quiet trails through the drifts. The dog ran loops through more than two feet of fresh snow, following the lines I made. We strapped on snowshoes and created narrow new trails through the forest. It was simple and grounding. During one of those storms, we pointed the Airstream toward New Hampshire to visit my son, Trueb. What should have been a three hour drive turned into five. Snow fell hard and steady. Visibility dropped. More than once, I considered pulling over and heading back. But two hours in meant two hours back. Sometimes the decision is not about turning around. It is about committing to the plan and adjusting as you go. Trueb had already done his part. Before we arrived, he drove up the steep mountain road to inspect it. He salted and sanded the long driveway so we could make it up safely. Even in four wheel drive, towing 3,500 pounds behind me, I spun out briefly before gaining traction. He was ready with a plan. Always thinking ahead. He produced the entire visit. Where we would park. Where we would explore. A tour of his woodworking shop. Time carved out to hike, sit and talk. I am proud of the life he is building and the care he took to make sure we were settled and comfortable. It reminded me that good production is rarely visible. It is the early inspection of the road. The sanding and salting before anyone arrives. The backup plans that stay quiet unless they are needed. At Indermaur Media, that is how I approach every project. Plan A is clear. Plan B and C are ready. The goal is simple. Create strong visuals and make sure everyone feels confident and taken care of along the way. Clear the path. Commit to the direction.
