Rhode Island-Based, Nationally Seasoned: Years of Visual Storytelling on the Move
Capturing a moment during a corporate photo session for a small business just outside Rhode Island. Whether it’s a local team or a national brand, I approach every project with the same care and professionalism.
Lately, I’ve been doing more projects close to home, and I’m loving it.
Rhode Island has offered me some of my favorite recent assignments. From corporate photography in Providence to video storytelling in Newport, I’ve been collaborating with innovative teams doing meaningful work right here in the Ocean State.
That said, travel has always been part of how I run Indermaur Media.
When I lived in Kansas years ago, my business was focused across the Midwest and nationally, with international projects as well. For nearly 20 years since relocating to Rhode Island, I’ve continued that approach, serving clients throughout New England and beyond. Whether it’s photographing a CEO in Boston or producing a community video in Oklahoma, I’ve always been ready to bring high-quality media production wherever it’s needed.
What’s been exciting lately is how much I’ve enjoyed these more frequent Rhode Island-based projects. There’s something powerful about capturing stories just a short drive from home. And while I remain committed to projects across New England, nationally, and internationally, I’m also focused on strengthening local collaborations here in Rhode Island.
In one of my recent Walk in My Woods newsletters, I wrote:
“Transitions don’t mean stopping. They mean paying attention to what’s growing, what’s shifting, and what’s worth pursuing with intention.”
What’s growing is a strong base of visual storytelling projects right here in the Ocean State. What’s shifting is the balance. More companies are looking for a trusted partner who brings not just technical skill, but decades of experience navigating what works best in real-world production. On location. On brand. On budget.
More and more, I’m hearing from clients who want photography and video handled by someone who understands the bigger picture. I’m not a marketing firm, but after 30 years in this business, I know how to craft media that works. And I know the right collaborators who can help expand that story across platforms.
So whether you’re in Rhode Island, New England, or anywhere across the U.S., and you’re looking for visual storytelling that’s professional, thoughtful, and collaborative, I’d love to connect.
